Rockwell Typebook

Rockwell is a slab typeface designed by the Monotype Corporation and released in 1934. This typebook was created to showcase Rockwell’s strenghts and characteristic shapes. The design concept for this project was to create bold, high-contrast visuals using a CMYK colour palette, type patterns, and geometric shapes. Using a book theme in its creation, this typebook features quotes from contemporary fiction work from several authors.

Travelr App

Travelr is a travel app that helps people organizing their itinerary and navigating from A to B during their trip. The app provides information about tourist attractions, hotels, restaurants, stores, places to visit, and public services. While using the app, users can give feedback about venues and share their personal experiences during their trip. Travelr was designed to help users have more fun while visiting places they are not familiar with and get the most of their time, whether they are travelling alone or with family and friends.

The Courier Vol. 23 Issue 3

The Centennial College Courier — or simply The Courier — is a periodical magazine created and maintained by the Centennial College Student Association (CCSAI). I was responsible for designing the cover and the page layout for the main article of the Vol. 23 Issue 3, titled “The Model of Possibility: Resilience” (written by Geoffrey Mosher). This issue of the student magazine was published on January of 2019 and distributed across all campuses of Centennial College. The concept for the design was inspired by the TEDx logo and the “X” shape, which translates here as “the X marks the spot”, representing persistence and strength towards a goal, as an allusion on the topic of the article.

UtilCore Medical Dashboard

UtilCore is a medical dashboard that keeps track of patients’ medical history, and helps doctors and nurses to assist their patients in a more effective way during consultations and treatments. The system also provides forms and informational tables to help with diagnosis and prescriptions. For this project, the client was looking to redesign all interfaces by creating a set of UI elements to be used throughout the website, and improve the navigation and usability for the medical staff. The real challenge was to select only a few pages of the website to work on (based on components and overall functionalities), and then implement the design patterns for the whole tool.
